So does it pay to get involved in someone else’s conflict? The jury is still out. But according to this survey, 53% of Egyptians would prefer that Egypt had closer relations with China than the U.S., whereas only 39% chose the U.S., with the rest undecided.
The survey was taken on June 5. It was also funded by U.S. Aid, commissioned by the International Republican Institute, and carried out by a U.S. polling firm.
